Thanks to the generosity of our sponsor, Buckman, and our new partnership with St. George's Independent School, we are pleased to offer our April 15th Project WET Water Workshop at the St. George's campus on the banks for the Wolf River!
Since 1984, Project WET has been developing fun, hands-on, award-winning activities for teachers to use in the classroom and outdoors. This workshop includes the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide 2.0, which gives educators engaging tools for integrating water education into many subjects. We will sample a variety of these activities as well as learn about the Wolf River watershed, and local and global water issues. Though this workshop is designed for local educators, it is open to anyone who is interested in attending!
We will be holding our April 8th workshop at the St. George's Independent School campus which is located at 1880 Wolf River Blvd. (MAP). Weather permitting, we will take a walk down to the river in the afternoon, exploring the bottomland hardwood forest and learning about issues affecting water quality in the Midsouth. Parts of the walk might be muddy, so please bring appropriate footwear and perhaps a change of shoes.
Please note you must enter SGIS from the Wolf River Blvd. entrance; the Houston Levee Rd. entrance will not be open on Saturday.
PLEASE REGISTER BELOW.
Pre-registration is required for attendance. You can contact Cathy with questions, firstname.lastname@example.org.
