Hike to Bakers Pond
Join us on a hiking adventure to the headwaters of The Wolf, on Saturday, February 22nd!
Baker’s Pond is the source spring of the Wolf River, which flows north into Fayette County, Tennessee, and joins the Mississippi River at downtown Memphis.
Located in the Holly Springs National Forest in Benton County, Mississippi. Baker's pond lies below a low red-clay bluff oozing with spring water. If you look on maps of Appalachia, you'll see how that mountain range's foothills wind their way west below the Tennessee River Valley, extending all the way to the North Mississippi Hill Country. This is a 1 mile out-and-back hike, generally considered an easy route. The Baker’s Pond Trail is great for birding and hiking, open year-round, and beautiful to visit anytime.
Hikers will meet at the trailhead at 10 am.
We hope to see you there!
