Please join us at Ghost River State Natural Area Boardwalk for our annual Frog Chorus Walk, where we will look and listen for Bird-voiced Treefrogs, Green Treefrogs, Cricket Frogs and others. We'll also have the chance to see Cypress Fireflies flashing over the swamp. There is something magical about being in a southern wetland in late spring - it's an immersive sensory experience!
We will meet at the Ghost River State Natural Area trailhead, also known as the Mineral Slough Boardwalk trailhead.
Please bring a flashlight. This is also a good opportunity to practice your nighttime photography. Long pants and closed toed shoes are recommended, along with insect repellent and any other supplies. Please contact Cathy Justis, education@wolfriver.org with questions.
