Landfills, Waste, and Recycling

In a program titled "Sustainablity in Action: An Overview of Memphis Landfills and Recycling,"  Jason West and Heath Lockley of Republic Services join us for an informative program on landfills, including how they are constructed and the safety measures in place, and the important contribution citizens can make by recycling and composting

Mr. Lockley received a B.S. in Civil Engineering at Arkansas State University and has over 15 years' experience as an Engineer with a focus in project management and permitting relating to solid waste regulatory and environmental compliance, landfill remediation, solid waste operations, landfill design, landfill operations, landfill gas design, landfill gas system operations and maintenance, recycling operations, and capital management. Mr. Lockley has trained environmental personnel on company systems and standards, performed construction management, managed landfill liner/cap design projects, supervised construction CQA and associated field activities.
