Annual Polar Wolf Plunge 2025
8th Annual Polar Wolf Plunge
Bateman Road Bridge at the Wolf River
Wednesday, January 1, 2025 — Noon to 3:00 pm
This event is free and open to the public; however, prior registration is required.
Join our cadre of River Guides, their families and new friends as we gather on the banks of the Wolf River to celebrate the arrival of 2025 in a most unique manner. Beginning at noon, we will light a bon fire, set out warm beverages and food and gather at the Bateman Road Bridge access ramp to the Wolf River for a great time of socializing in preparation of entering the chilly waters at 13:00. Past events drew as many as 30 people to the site with a dozen or so actually entering the water.
If you plan to “take the plunge” or even if you may bow to peer pressure, be sure and bring towels and a change of clothing. Also bring lawn chairs, your favorite snack to share and drinks of your choosing. A changing tent will be available as well as plenty of room to warm beside the fire both before and after.
Registration is required so sign up early in order to help make the planning easier. There will be no rain date so let’s all hope for clear (and very chilly) weather.
