Webinar: Monarch Butterflies - The Big Picture

Please join us for an update on Monarch Butterflies from Laura Molenaar, Education Specialist with Monarch Joint Venture, a partnership of federal and state agencies, non-governmental organizations, and academic programs working together to protect the monarch migration across the United States. Laura will review the ecology of Monarchs, the challenges they face, where the population stands, and how we can make a difference.

Laura has worked with Monarch Joint Venture – formerly the University of Minnesota Monarch Lab – for many years providing professional development to educators. She has been recognized by educational and environmental groups for her approach to engaging students in authentic science and is a recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching. She is both a Minnesota Master Naturalist and a Minnesota Master Gardener.

Laura and her husband, Jim, live in New London, Minnesota, where they raised their three children.
