Students Learn to Identify Trees

Wolf River Conservancy helped teach students, parents, and supervisors how to identify trees.  The National Hardwood Lumber Association and the Agricenter hosted several County 4-H groups from across west Tennessee. Overall 26 students ranging from elementary to high school participated in a two-day event that taught students many aspects of forestry. Ryan Hall of the Conservancy highlighted the different tree characteristics that are used to identify tree species.
