May 2020: A Message from Our Director

Dear Wolf River Conservancy friend,

We are so excited to be sharing with you today our Discover the Greenway event, scheduled to take place June 6th – June 20th.  Thank you to our Presenting Sponsor, Jim Keras Subaru!  Formerly called “Cycle the Greenway," Discover the Greenway is a response to extraordinary circumstances. This year, due to social distancing requirements and health concerns, our development committee got creative and came up with a much more inclusive event, designed not only for bicyclists, but also for walkers and runners. The event will also take place over a 14-day period instead of a single day, enabling participation at one's own pace, as an individual or in a small group.

Signing up for Discover the Greenway is a great way to show your support of the Wolf River Conservancy while checking out all of the currently open segments of the Wolf River Greenway and competing for some wonderful grand prizes from Outdoors Inc.and Breakaway Running. You can register now at this link. Upon registration, you will receive additional information about six scenic locations that our Discover the Greenway team has identified for you to visit along Wolf River Greenway, with one additional “bonus” location to be revealed during the event.  The more designated scenic locations you visit on the Wolf River Greenway, the greater your chances of winning one of our grand prizes. More details about logistics, prizes, etc., will be communicated to registrants on June 1st, 2020.

We recognize that these are challenging and uncertain times, and we are grateful for your continued commitment to conservation, the great outdoors, and the future of our community. If you are able, we hope that you will consider registering to participate in Discover the Greenway. As always, you can make a gift to further the work of the Wolf River Conservancy at wolfriver.org/give. All gifts received by May 31st will be matched $1 for $1 by a generous Anonymous Donor.

As the world adjusts to a new normal for the immediate future, so does the Wolf River Conservancy. We want to thank you for your dedication and support. Because of you, the Wolf River Conservancy, as an accredited land trust which remains committed to protecting and preserving strategic wetlands and providing educational and recreational opportunities for our community.

Thank you for your continued support to the Wolf River Conservancy.
