A Message from the Director

As we begin to think about putting 2019 behind us (it went fast didn't it?) and look ahead to 2020, we are reminded of the vital contributions that our volunteers, donors, and corporate/foundation partners have provided toward our success this year.

Thanks to everyone for your continued support of the work of the Wolf River Conservancy.  We are excited and encouraged by current buildout of the Wolf River Greenway trail within the City of Memphis. The Wolf River Greenway trail project supports our overall conservation mission through ththe protection of wildlife habitat in the river corridor, and increased environmental education and recreational outreach opportunities. You can view our interactive map at this link to see the current status of the Wolf River Greenway trail, a public-private partnership with the City of Memphis Parks and Neighborhoods Division and Shelby County.

We believe that, not only the Greenway project, but all of our activities are important to the livability and sustainability for our community. That is why I am pleased to announce that our Board of Directors is providing a $75,000 Challenge Grant which will match dollar for dollar every donation made to the Conservancy through December 31, 2019, up to $75,000. This great show of support from our board illustrates its commitment to the mission and work of the Conservancy.  You can participate in the $75,000 Challenge Grant to support our mission by following this link to make a donation now.

Thank you again for making our work possible!
