A Message from the Director

Dear Wolf River Conservancy Friend,

I have two very important announcements to share with you!

The first is the recent transfer of the 58-acre Cornerstone Property to the State of Tennessee in order to expand the Ghost River State Natural Area.  Our long-time supporters are familiar with the Ghost River Rescue in 1995, led by the Wolf River Conservancy.  This effort by committed individuals protected approximately 4,000 acres which eventually became the Ghost River State Natural Area (GRSNA), preserving the pristine beauty of the Ghost River segment of the Wolf River.  Read more about the Cornerstone Property and the expansion of the GRSNA at this link.

The second announcement builds on the same commitment and community leadership which led to the creation of the Ghost River State Natural Area.  We are pleased to inform you that our Board of Directors has provided a $75,000 Matching Challenge Grant effective now thru December 31, 2019.  We are proud of our board members for this generous demonstration of their commitment to our community and the continued work of the Wolf River Conservancy!

Thanks to our Board of Directors, you now have the opportunity to support our mission while doubling your impact: any gift made between now and the end of the year will be matched, up to $75,000. Our primary mission of land conservation depends on the continued financial support from our community. Please follow this link to give now.

Finally, I want to share a link to a brief video.  It’s a good reminder - of the beauty of the Wolf River, the strength of our past accomplishments, and, most importantly, why we must continue to deliver on our mission for future generations:

Thanks for your support!

Keith Cole
