A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dear Wolf River Conservancy Friend:

We are pleased to share with you all a recent staff promotion and addition to the WRC team.

Ryan Hall has been promoted to Director of Land Conservation.

Ryan first began with the Conservancy in the summer of 2012 while completing his Master's of Science degree in City and Regional Planning at Clemson University. Ryan’s also has a B.S. in Forestry from Mississippi State University. Ryan joined the WRC staff in 2013 as the Land Protection Associate.

Ryan has played a significant role in improving the effectiveness of the Conservancy’s land conservation efforts. His master's thesis work at Clemson ultimately produced the WRC Strategic Conservation Plan that the board has adopted and which the Conservancy uses to guide our land acquisition.

In addition to Ryan’s previous responsibilities he will play a leadership role in the Conservancy’s current exploration of increasing our focus area beyond the Wolf River Watershed.

Ashley Bonner appointed Development Manager

We are pleased to have Ashley Bonner join our team in our newly created position of Development Manager. Ashley comes to us from the Hattiloo Theater and brings strong development skills combined with valuable experience in working with volunteers and donors.

Ashley’s primary responsibility will be to ensure that the Conservancy’s special events and development operations are successful. Ashley will be responsible for all fundraising components of the three “tent pole” events at the Conservancy – our Annual Tree Planting, Cycle the Greenway and the Greenway Soirée, including volunteer management, corporate sponsorships solicitation, event participation (i.e, ticket sales, registrations), donor cultivation, logistics and finance.

Please join us in congratulating Ryan on his new position and in welcoming Ashley to the Wolf River Conservancy team!  And thank you all for your continued support to the Wolf River Conservancy.

Keith Cole
Executive Director
