Dear Wolf River Conservancy friends,

We hope you are enjoying the holiday season with friends and family and looking forward to a very happy new year!

The Wolf River Conservancy is so fortunate to have such a committed board of directors and staff working throughout the year on behalf of our mission “to protect and enhance the Wolf River watershed as a sustainable natural resource.”  This important mission never takes a holiday, and our success depends on you.  We thank you for allowing us to continue to earn your support!

As we come to the end of a very productive year for the Conservancy, we would like to share with you a sneak peek at what lies ahead for us in 2019.

  • The board of directors and staff will continue working toward a successful execution of our Strategic Plan, which will guide the priorities of the Conservancy for the next five years. Follow this link to review the complete plan and to learn more about our priorities.
  • The Walnut Grove to TVA Powerline (Segment 14B) of the Wolf River Greenway is scheduled to open in the spring of 2019.
  • The TVA Powerline to the Shelby Farms Greenline (Segment 14A) is under construction, with a projected opening at the end of 2019. This important connection between the Wolf River Greenway and the Shelby Farms Greenline is eagerly awaited by everyone!
  • Several additional segments of the Wolf River Greenway Trail will begin construction in 2019 with support from the City of Memphis and Shelby County.
  • Our 14th Annual Tree Planting event is scheduled for Sat., Feb. 16th, 2019, at Shelby Farms Park.
  • We will continue to evaluate strategically important land purchases within the Wolf River watershed to protect our clean drinking water and wildlife.

Of course, you can always visit to see all the activities and projects we have planned for the coming new year.

We can only deliver on our mission with your continued financial support. Now, thanks to a generous challenge grant from Scott and Kay Dawson, every $1 you donate will be doubled until December 31, 2018. You still have time to show your support.

Thank you again for helping the Wolf River Conservancy have one our most successful years ever. We look forward to an even more successful 2019!

Keith Cole
Executive Director
