A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dear Wolf River Conservancy Partner:

If you live in the Mid-South, you may have a case of cabin fever as a result of the icy wintry conditions we’ve experienced lately. But have no fear, warmer temperatures will be here soon! We at the Conservancy are always ready to provide our community with opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors and to celebrate our natural resources. Here’s quick look at our Activity Calendar for the next few weeks:

March 7: First Saturday Membership Paddle - Experience the Lost Swamp Trail.
March 8-14:  National Groundwater Awareness Week - The groundwater from our Memphis Aquifer supplies us with some of the best drinking water in the world!
March 10:  Drink a Beer, Save a River! -  Join WRC and Ghost River Brewing at the Grove Grill on Mar. 10th for our very first Drink a Beer, Save a River event!
March 13:  Project WET Workshop -  Thanks to support from Buckman, the Project WET Workshop provides participants with great activities to share with students and is offered at no cost.
March 22:  World Water Day - We have many reasons to celebrate our relatively abundant and inexpensive drinking water and our beautiful Wolf River!
March 28:  WRC's 10th Annual Tree Planting - This year we will plant 10,000 native trees at Shelby Farms  Park tree farm.  Always a fun family event, there is plenty of time to register your group or corporation as well.

You'll find a complete list of activities at wolfriver.org. Thanks for your support!
