January 2020: A Message from Our Director

The Wolf River Restoration Series is here!

What is the Wolf River Restoration Series?

It is a new way to for the Wolf River Conservancy to showcase our conservation projects and involve our community as volunteers. Corporate and community partners have been looking for more opportunities to support our conservation mission both financially and via volunteer hours. The Wolf River Restoration Series now provides that opportunity.

We are pleased to announce that Brother International is the Presenting Sponsor for the Wolf River Restoration Series, which was launched on Jan. 20th, with our MLK Day of Service event at Epping Way. Sustaining Sponsors of the series are Bank of America, Buckman and International Paper. 

Upcoming Wolf River Restoration Series events are:

  •  - The  Annual Tree Planting to be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Shelby Farms Park.  Volunteers will pot and plant a variety of native trees.
  •  - World Water Day, to be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at Wolf River Harbor. Bring your canoe and kayak to assist our River Guides clean up the Wolf River Harbor or if you prefer you can help clean up along the shore during thiis unique land-and-water cleanup.
  •  - Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 22participate at Kennedy Park.  A variety of activities are being planned to highlight the importance of protecting our local and global environment.

  • All events have opportunities for participants of all ages.
