A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dear Wolf River Conservancy Partner:

“Drink a Beer, Save a River.” If you follow the Wolf River Conservancy on social media or receive our periodic newsletter and other communications, you will understand the significance of this catch phrase to our organization. Beginning earlier this year, our good friends at Ghost River Brewing offered to host a social event at a local restaurant each month and to donate $1 from each Ghost River beer sold to the Wolf River Conservancy.

Because it is only through continued financial support from our community and our other external partners that the Wolf River Conservancy can deliver on its important mission to conserve and enhance the Wolf River and its watershed as a sustainable natural resource, “Drink A Beer, Save a River” conveys the effective message that every Ghost River beer purchase makes a real contribution to a great cause.

"Drink a Beer, Save a River" events are usually held on the second Tuesday of each month and are listed on our Activity Calendar along with our other activities. These events have proven to be a fun way for our donors and friends to show their support for our work in a social setting. We want to thank all the folks that have attended any or all (yes,we do have regular attendees) of our “Drink a Beer” events and to say THANKS to Ghost River Brewing for their continued support!

Did you know our land conservation strategy is predicated on protecting crucial floodplains and wetlands in our watershed for the protection of our aquifer recharge areas as well native habitat?

If you have been watching the news coming out of California about their drought conditions and the negative consequences created from the lack of adequate water, I think you might agree that as important as our work and mission has been since 1985, our greatest work may yet lie ahead of us.

Thank you for your continued support of the Wolf River Conservancy!

Keith Cole
Executive Director
