Dear Wolf River Conservancy Partner:

We are pleased to share with you our continuing progress to complete the remaining 18.4 miles of the Wolf River Greenway. Here are some recent developments and updated information:

  - Our current plan is to complete the Wolf River Greenway by 2019. Following the meanders of the Wolf River, the Greenway will extend 22 miles from the north end of Mud Island through the City of Memphis and connect with the Germantown Greenway.
  - The Wolf River Conservancy remains in a partnership with the City of Memphis Parks and Neighborhoods Division for the planning, design and construction of the Greenway.
  - Public engagement to solicit community input on planning and design of the Wolf River Greenway will begin this summer and continue through December of 2015. Stay tuned for more information on these engagement opportunities.
  - Upon completion of the project, it is estimated that 100,000 people will be within a 10 minute walk of the Greenway.
  - 1.1 miles of the existing Wolf River Greenway was certified in 2014 by the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council as a Level 1 Arboretum.

We are very excited about our progress on this very important project!  Our board and external stakeholders are envisioning the Wolf River Greenway trail as a “corridor of opportunity” for our community.
