Meet Mark Jordan, Our New Director of Development

Coming from a 30 year career in banking (mostly in Mississippi), Mark is a mid-life career changer. In 2014 he began to feel a strong desire to change his career and he knew the non-profit sector is where he wanted to be. In 2016 he accepted his first job in the non-profit world as the Development Director with the Memphis Child Advocacy Center. Then on Mar. 1, 2019, Mark joined the team at the Wolf River Conservancy as the Director of Development, assuming the role previously held by Kelsey Hamilton prior to her promotion to Chief Development Officer. Mark says that his sons played a large part in his decision to come to the Conservancy. “They have been my inspiration and my teachers in coming to understand the vital importance of conserving and preserving our natural resources,” he says.  When he heard about the opening at the Conservancy, he knew this was the opportunity he had been waiting for. “This is the job and the organization where I hope to help bring positive change,”  says Mark.  "Thanks to my friends Kelsey and Keith for the opportunity and I couldn’t ask for better mentors in this work."
