November 2021: A Message from Our Director

Dear Wolf River Conservancy friend,

Since joining the Wolf River Conservancy in 2010, it has been my pleasure to observe as our team members grow professionally in their individual goals and skill sets. Our small but competent team, working with our engaged board members, are the key to the continued success of the Conservancy. This has been especially true during the past year and a half. Thus, we are always pleased when members of our team are recognized for their professionalism and ethical standards.

We are proud to announce that our very own Chief Development Officer, Kelsey Hamilton Gibbs, is the winner of the Crystal Award for Outstanding Fundraising Executive from the National Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Kelsey was recognized by AFP on Nov. 15th, National Philanthropy Day, celebrated by the Memphis chapter of AFP each year with a conference and the annual Crystal Awards for outstanding individuals and organizations in the fields of fundraising and philanthropy.

David Scully, Board Member and Chair of the Wolf River Conservancy Development Committee, said this about Kelsey, “It is hard for me to imagine a more deserving candidate of this recognition.” If you have worked with Kelsey, you understand that she deserves this recognition for her hard work, creativity, and integrity in promoting the mission of the Wolf River Conservancy by leading our fundraising efforts through the Covid 19 pandemic challenges and beyond. The staff and board of the Wolf River Conservancy congratulate Kelsey on this prestigious honor!

As a financial supporter of the Wolf River Conservancy, you can be confident you have a strong team working to deliver on our mission. We hope that you will consider a financial gift to the Wolf River Conservancy as we approach the end of 2021. Please click on this video link for a reminder of why it is important to show your support.
