Our Thanks to Buckman

We are very pleased to recognize our corporate benefactor, Buckman, for their long-term, ongoing support of our work.  Buckman is not only a great partner for the Conservancy but also a partner for the whole community.  With corporate encouragement, several of their employees have recently found ways to support our community through service; we spotlight four of them below. We are proud to be affiliated with Buckman not just because of the work they do with us but for how they give back to the community as a whole.   Please let anyone you know affiliated with Buckman how much you appreciate them for all they do for our community.

Nate Brandeburg

Nate is donating his time and 3D printing knowledge to help Tech Plus Inc., a Memphis company, design and print face shield headbands to be paired with clear plastic    face shields. Face shields are being distributed in the Memphis community to slow the spread of COVID-19. (two photos included)

Rosy Covarrubias

Rosy has been tutoring children through Latino Memphis, but due to COVID-19 she has shifted to virtual tutoring to continue to help them with their studies.

Rob White

Because he is working from home now, Rob is able to foster more dogs and cats through the West Memphis Animal Shelter.

Lauren Warren

Lauren is volunteering with Care Through Conversation as part of the Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability. She has phone conversations with elderly and at-risk populations to help them feel less alone and to make sure they have everything they need during COVID-19.
