Project WET Wrap-up: Learning to Teach About Water

A group of 31 local educators and administrators attended an all-day workshop focused on water on July 25th.  Everyone left with a copy of the award-winning Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide 2.0 after trying out a number of the activities themselves - which meant they had fun, too! They also learned more about the Wolf River, the Memphis Sand Aquifer, a variety of water issues, and local water education resources including Wolf River Conservancy, CAESER, Clean Memphis and Memphis Storm Water Program.  Our next Project WET Workshop is scheduled for Nov. 21st at Memphis Botanic Garden.  For more information on Project WET, visit

Sharon Gordon of Memphis Storm Water Program speaks to WET workshop participants.

WET participants had the opportunity to try out a variety of student-oriented activities such as "Incredible Journey," which brings the water cycle to life.
