Recap: Wolf River Watershed Expo and Family Day

A number of families joined us for our first ever Wolf River Watershed Family Day on April 23, held on the beautiful 250-acre campus of St. George's Independent School in Collierville in partnership with TN Dept. of Environment and Conservation (TDEC). The school is located on the Wolf River and our outdoor-oriented family day included a hike down to the river's edge, a chance to paddle on a small lake, dip netting for small aquatic creatures, and testing water quality. Both kids and adults seemed to have a great time!  Many thanks to all of the exhibitors who came out to share their information with visitors, and to the river guides who so ably assisted people with paddling!

The Family Day followed the Wolf River Watershed Expo on the evening of Thurs., April 21, again at SGIS. David Duhl and Joellyn Brazile of TDEC gave short presentations on water quality and the work of TDEC, and at least 20 exhibitors were on hand to share information and to network.  Thank you to everyone involved!
