Sell-Out Crowd at Source to Sea Film

The Memphis premier showing of the documentary “Dale Sanders: Source to the Sea”  at the Brooks Museum on Saturday, January 14th was a tremendous success with a capacity crowd of 250 people.  The theater was filled and tickets were sold out; our apologies to those folks unable to purchase tickets at the door. Viewers enjoyed the documentary which followed our very own Dale Sanders on his journey from the source of the Mississippi River in Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 2345 miles and 80 days later.  Dale celebrated his 80th birthday along the way.

Although this was a solo adventure for Dale, who paddled and portaged his own canoe the entire trip, he was accompanied by friend and WRC River Guide Richard Sojourner, paddling a separate boat, for 85% of the trip.

After the screening, the audience delivered a thunderous standing ovation. Dale, Richard and the Adventureitis production crew then answered questions from the crowd.

A preview of the documentary can be found at and the DVD should be available for sale very soon. Check this link to the film's website for more details
