Volunteer Spotlight: The Thompsons and the Easterlings

Originally from the Canal Zone in Panama, Central America, Patty Thompson, Bruce Thompson and Leesie Easterling are siblings who have made Memphis their home for the past twenty years. Leesie's husband, Lonnie Easterling, is a native Memphian and a talented cartoonist. The couple sees volunteering as a great opportunity to teach their three children about the importance of helping others within the community.. Patty Thompson is bilingual, using her fluency in Spanish to help Spanish-speaking patients in her work. Patty, Bruce, Leesie and Lonnie have been volunteering with the Wolf River Conservancy at all of our major fundraising events over the past several years. The Fundraising Event Volunteer Award was won by Patty and Bruce in 2013; this year it was presented to Leesie and Lonnie. They are all wonderful assets to the Conservancy and to the Memphis community.  THANK YOU Patty, Bruce, Leesie, and Lonnie for your hard work on behalf of the Wolf River Conservancy!!!
