Experienced Paddlers Needed for Aquifer Research

The scientists at the Center for Applied Earth Science and Engineering Research at University of Memphis (CAESER) will be studying the Wolf River to measure the interaction between surface water and groundwater as part of the $5 million MLGW study of the aquifer. They will need volunteers to help deploy seepage meters in the River for a few weeks of June. Access to or ownership of a kayak would be very helpful!

Also, the next public forum on current aquifer research is now scheduled for June 11th!  Here is the Facebook event link with an EventBrite registration. It will be a similar format as last time, but we will have maps of the project areas around the room to chat with the student researchers about the project. Either the first 30 minutes or the last 30 will be reserved for that.
