Wolf River Paddling Outlook for the Coming Year

Jim Gafford and others, Lost Swamp Trail, Dec. 2015

The 2016 WRC Paddle schedule will not be disappointing. Thirty four activities are scheduled and possibly more will be added at the river guide planning meeting in January. We will keep the First Saturday Paddle venue and paddle popular destinations like the Ghost Section, Lost Swamp, Michigan City and the urban Wolf. This year we are adding a Mother's Day Paddle, which will complement the traditional Father's Day program.

We intend to take advantage of the great new boat ramp at Piperton. If you haven't stopped by to look it over we recommend you do so. It's a beautiful access to a less paddled section of the Wolf.

Instead of three clean up paddle this year we intend to offer four. One will be a special event just for experienced river guides. The remaining three events will be open FREE to the general public.

The Wolf River is very photogenic and river guides are continually adding images to the library. To view Wolf River images from several sections of the river please visit this photo link.
