Congratulations and Thanks to Walt Houston on his Fundraising Paddle

We had a great turnout at Memphis Made to celebrate World Water Day and welcome Walt Houston home from his fundraising paddle down the length of the Wolf River, which raised over $5000 for the Conservancy.

On Mar. 7th, Walt Houston set out on an expedition to paddle the Wolf River, raising awareness about local conservation and invasive species.  He began his 100-mile journey at Baker's Pond, the source of the Wolf River.  His adventure concluded 6-8 days later with a warm welcome from the Conservancy at the mouth of the Wolf River where it meets the Mississippi — near the Wolf River Greenway trailhead at Mud Island.
