Conservation: Nearly 5,500 Acres to be Protected as State Forest

We are happy to report that the State of Tennessee has deemed 5,477 acres of prime Wolf River watershed habitat worthy of permanent protection as a state forest. A pending land conservation deal will transfer ownership from the University of Tennessee to the State of Tennessee. The property is a portion of the historic Ames Plantation.
