Corporate Benefactor Spotlight: FedEx

On April 23, nearly 40 FedEx Cares volunteers, in partnership with Wolf River Conservancy, Clean Memphis, and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), came together to support the Wolf River Greenway in Memphis. This marked an important milestone in the Conservancy’s ongoing collaboration with FedEx Cares and celebrated 15 years of working with NFWF to conserve and restore urban ecosystems across the country.

With the help of dedicated FedEx volunteers, along with representatives and partners from Clean Memphis and NFWF, we undertook various tasks to enhance the Greenway's biodiversity and overall health. These tasks included removing litter and tires, removing invasive shrubs and trees, and weeding and mulching young trees to help them survive and thrive. Each effort demonstrated our shared commitment to the environment.

Jessica Tillie, Director of Airline and International and Specialty Operations Communications at FedEx, shared her thoughts on the strong sense of teamwork and purpose at FedEx Cares events:  “These occasions not only build teamwork but also highlight FedEx's unwavering commitment to improving our communities. By removing 138 tires and 15 bags of trash, and making significant progress in controlling invasive plant species, we are collectively making Memphis greener and cleaner.”
