Volunteer Spotlight: Thanks, RING Container Volunteers!
Every year on the third Monday in January, Martin Luther King’s National Day of Service is designated as a day on, not a day off. In honor of Dr. King's legacy of service, the Wolf River Conservancy hosted a team from Ring Container Technologies to plant trees in New Chicago Park on Jan. 20. Ring Container staff courageously braved the frigid wind and temperatures of around 14-degrees to plant these trees along Leath Bayou, providing a needed riparian buffer in the floodplain. We would like to thank Debbie Blaylock for rallying the Ring Container team for this service event. The Wolf River Conservancy also thanks Ring Container Technologies for generously supporting our mission so that we may continue with conservation of the Wolf River and the surrounding floodplain.
