On the Greenway: The Discover the Greenway 5K+

Lace-up your shoes and get ready for the much-anticipated Discover the Greenway 5K+, which promises to bring together nature enthusiasts, fitness fans, and community supporters to celebrate the great outdoors. The Discover the Greenway 5K+, proudly presented by Jim Keras Subaru, aims to promote environmental awareness, healthy living, and community engagement.

The event will occur on Saturday, June 8th, at the scenic Shady Grove Trailhead on the Wolf River Greenway. This beautiful trail offers participants a chance to experience the lush landscapes, diverse wildlife, and serene river views that make this area a local treasure. Unlike a traditional 5K, this event's "5K+" aspect adds a little extra distance, making it a unique challenge for runners and walkers alike. The course accommodates all fitness levels, ensuring that everyone, from seasoned runners to casual walkers, can participate and enjoy the event. Funds from this event will directly support the Conservancy’s conservation projects, educational programs, and maintenance of the Wolf River Greenway.
